Terms of Use
1. What ShipGrader does
ShipGrader performs a passive review of content a website already serves publicly: HTML pages, JavaScript files, response headers and a short list of well-known file paths (for example /.env or /.git/config), using ordinary HTTP GET requests. It does not log in, submit forms, guess credentials, bypass authentication, send write requests, or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to: scan websites you do not own or are not authorized to test; use ShipGrader to harass, profile or attack anyone; automate scans to bypass rate limits; or resell results without permission. We may block URLs, IP addresses or accounts that misuse the service, and we rate-limit all scans.
3. Results are informational
Results are automated, may contain false positives or miss issues, and are not a security certification, penetration test, audit or legal advice. An “A” grade does not mean your application is secure or legally compliant. Legal templates are starter text only. Review them with a qualified lawyer.
4. Purchases & refunds
The Full Report is a one-time purchase of $29 giving access to the report for the scan you purchased, for at least 24 hours (save or print it). If the report fails to load or is empty because of a problem on our side, email us within 14 days for a full refund.
5. Subscriptions, trials & cancellation
If you subscribe to Monitoring (when available), it renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the link in your receipt email or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and partial months are not refunded. We do not currently offer free trials. The free scan is free and requires no payment details.
6. Liability
ShipGrader is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Who we are & governing law
ShipGrader is owned and operated by Nick Quigley, sole proprietor, Florida, USA. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
